KOA is extending its portfolio of thin-film precision resistors. The terminations of the WN73H are fitted on the long sides, which enables significantly higher rated power compared to normally terminated thin-film types. The WN73H1J (size 0603) has a rated power of 0.3 Watts, while the WN73H2B (size 0612) has a rated power of 1 Watt.

KOA now offers its thick-film low-ohm series UR73V in size 1206 with a significantly extended value range. Whereas the resistance range previously extended from 10 mOhm to 100 mOhm, now 10 mOhm to 1 Ohm is possible with the UR73VH2B. In addition, the terminal temperature has been increased from 95⁰C to 125⁰C (ambient temperature: 70⁰C).

The Japanese capacitor specialist Rubycon is expanding its chip aluminium electrolytic capacitor series TAV with the case sizes 8×10.5 and 10×10.5 mm. The TAV series is designed for a lifetime up to 4000 hours, the temperature range goes up to 125⁰C. For the ø 8mm the capacity is given with 220 µF, for ø 10mm

The Nuremberg-based specialist for connection technology ZeB Elektrotechnik offers the latest model in a series of USB Type-C connectors from GCT. The USB4715 6-pin USB Type-C female connector is waterproof and tested according to IP67. 4 contact pins for surface mounting ensure a firm hold on the PCB, the profile height above PCB is 4.21 mm.

The KOA series RS73 is now available in four sizes from 0402 to 1206. Built in thick film technology, the component allows tolerances of very low 0.1% and a TCR of 25 ppm/K. Tolerances of 0.25 and 0.5% and a TCR of 50 ppm/K are also offered. The data regarding long-term stability are also outstanding.

KOA now offers a resistor that combines pulse resistance with high-temperature characteristics. The series called HSG73P (sizes 0402 – 1206) can be used in ambient temperatures of up to 200⁰C. In relation to the ambient temperature, derating starts at 70⁰C; if the terminal part temperature is used as a basis, derating starts at 105 resp.

The resistor manufacturer KOA has improved its pulse-resistant SG73P series. This means in particular the 0402 (1E) size, whose rated power is now 0.25 watt. This applies to a max. ambient temperature of 70⁰C or a terminal part temperature of 125⁰C. This component, called SG73P1EW, can be used, for example, to replace a standard thick-film
